Why this archive has no rows

The CAT has never run an official promo-code program. The game released on 28 April 2026, peaked at 29,998 concurrent players on 13 June 2026, and still shows a store [UPD] around 8 September 2026 — all without a redeem UI. An expired table is a graveyard of strings that used to work. You cannot retire a code that was never born. This page stays empty so we do not launder invented coupons into a respectable-looking wiki table.

When a real code eventually launches and later dies, it will move from the codes hub to the table below with the date we last saw it succeed. Until that happens, the honest archive looks like this:

That single placeholder is not a hidden working string. Do not type a dash into a field that does not exist.

Why fake expired lists exist

Search engines reward pages that look complete. A table with twelve struck-through codes plus three marked NEW performs better than a paragraph that says none. Aggregators fill the gap by copying:

• Strings from Catch the Cat and other redeem-UI games, then swapping the title to The CAT.
• Strings from The Cat [Alpha] horror title (place 6114598339), which is a different loop and a different studio.
• Strings from smaller Cat Shelter clones that reuse the name and sometimes do ship a gift box.
• Random keyboard noise (UPDATE, FREEGUN, SHELTER100K) generated for thumbnails the week The CAT crossed tens of millions of visits.

Those rows then get labeled expired when they fail, which makes the fake list look even more official — as if the author tested them. Failure in The CAT does not mean a code expired. Failure means there is no parser. Read How to Redeem if you need the hypothetical lobby path; it will not conjure a button.

YouTube is the worst amplifier. A 10-minute codes video needs a list on screen whether or not the game supports one. Creators paste the same block under every animal-roleplay thumbnail. If the description says join our Discord for daily codes and then links a stolen invite, close it. This wiki still has no public Discord invite URL and no Trello. Official destinations sit on the links page: the Roblox place and the Ikigai Cybercore Studios group.

Never redeem random YouTube codes

Even in games that have a Codes button, typing a random string is pointless. In The CAT it is worse, because the only boxes that accept text are chat and whatever customizer a script injects. Pasting a thumbnail code into chat does not grant Rainbow Leash. Pasting it into a third-party website does not grant Robux. It grants whoever wrote the form your cookie.

A particularly common scam after the June 2026 peak was all-passes codes: one string that supposedly unlocked Bypass Team Limit, HMG, AWM Sniper, Elite SWAT, CAT HAT Bundle, Boss Mafia Cat, Elite Cat Surgeon, Private Jail Cell, Premium, Director, and El Gato at once. Those passes cost 25 R$ through 549 R$ on the official store. Premium and El Gato perks are unpublished even there. No expired-code table, including this one, will ever list a string that granted that bundle, because that bundle was never a code reward.

If a video tells you to use an executor to redeem, that is not a code. That is the combat GUI scene, and it is how accounts get banned. Stay on the scripts hub for the warning, not for a loadstring.

How to tell a dead official code from a fake

Use this checklist when (and only when) The CAT actually starts issuing codes:

1. The string appeared first on the codes hub or in a studio-controlled channel we can cite. Fan Discord screenshots without a public invite do not count.
2. You redeemed it in the official client using the path on How to Redeem, not on a lookalike place.
3. Later, the same string returns Invalid or Expired in that same UI.
4. We then copy the row here with a retired date.

If step 1 never happened, it is not an expired The CAT code. It is clutter from another game. Place 76526090659517, universe 10094225577, and group 980379194 are the identifiers. Anything else is a different product.

What expired codes would never have granted

Even a future official code is unlikely to replace skill. Escape still means pickpocket a keycard, break a toilet into the sewers without a card, dig tunnels, luck into a rare Angel cat jump-out, or wait for a group rescue. Caretakers still bring taser, Arrest Cat, police baton, shotgun, and jail. After you leave, you are a feral cat in the city. None of that loop is a coupon. Paid power lives on the gamepasses and weapons pages. If a YouTube expired list claims those passes used to be free with a code, the list is fiction. Check updates for the real timeline: launch, the June peak, server size moving from 24 to 26, OP passes such as Director and Private Jail Cell, and the September store tag. That timeline has no code drops in it.

How we will fill this page later

We will not backfill joke strings for completeness. We will not mark CATCHTHECAT as expired for The CAT. We will not copy a competitor’s graveyard so this URL looks busy. The table grows only when a string we previously listed as live stops working in the official redeem UI.
