Feral city after you escape The CAT

The UI said you left. You are now a stray in the city, still hunted, still able to crack cages.

Feral City After Escape

When The CAT says you escaped, the session is not over. You leave Ikigai Cybercore Studios’ shelter and continue as a feral cat in the city. Caretakers can still be a problem. Other ferals become teammates, rivals, or bait. This page is the post-breakout loop. If you have not left the building yet, stop here and use how to escape. Morph identity and in-shelter cat tools live on the cat role page. Paid toys that only matter outside, especially Boss Mafia Cat, are ranked on gamepasses.

The CAT is online roleplay, free-to-play, 26 players per server, released 28 April 2026. Peak concurrent players hit 29,998 on 13 June 2026 because the city exists. A shelter-only tutorial trains you to treat a door as the credits. The design wants you to cause trouble across the map after that door. Play that second map on purpose or you will die confused in an alley and assume the escape “didn’t count.”

What changes the moment you are feral

Inside, you are an inmate with a short list of exits. Outside, you are a stray with a longer map and a shorter list of excuses. You no longer need a toilet prompt to exist, but you also no longer have walls that only open one way. Caretakers who were camping sewers can rotate to the street. Cats who are still caged are still your problem if you want a group win instead of a selfie on the sidewalk.

Movement still matters. Player comments say Shift sprints. Hairballs still throw. Some geometry still climbs. Those tools read differently in the city because sightlines are longer and cover is weirder. Do not assume the shelter muscle memory of hugging a vet’s spine is the correct city plan. Pickpocketing a keycard is an inside job. Outside, the job is stay alive, find the feral base if you have a reason to, and decide whether you are looping back to cages.

One video mentions lives. Treat that as unverified. If your HUD shows a life count, believe your HUD. If it does not, do not play scared of a resource this wiki cannot confirm.

Being hunted in the city

You are not safe because you “won.” Vets with tasers, batons, shotguns, and paid guns can still ruin a feral who poses in the open. Elite SWAT’s shield and M4A1, the HMG, and the AWM are all worse to meet on a street than in a hallway because you have fewer corners that you personally mapped during hour one.

Play like a stray, not like a mascot. Break line of sight after every noisy stunt. Do not stand in the mouth of the sewer exit celebrating; that tile is a known turret for caretakers who camped your leave. Move off the breakout point first, then decide whether you are a city menace or a rescue specialist.

If a caretaker still has Arrest Cat habits, they will try to disable you and process you. The city is not a magic PvP arena that deletes jail. Until you see a specific session prove otherwise, assume tase-arrest is still the threat model and keep distance from a vet who is staring at you.

Feral base and the Boss Mafia Cat pass

There is a feral base. It is the cat-side anchor after a leave, the place you go when the street is too hot or when a pass actually plugs into the outside loop. Boss Mafia Cat costs 299 Robux. It grants a Golden AK at the feral base and +60 HP. That is a documented city loadout, not a shelter pickpocket tool. Buying it before you have escaped even once is backwards. Buying it after you keep dying in the open is at least aimed at the right map.

The Golden AK does not make you staff. It makes you a loud stray. Use it to discourage a vet who is bullying fresh ferals at the exit, not to turn The CAT into a deathmatch that ignores cages. CAT HAT at 259 Robux is a real store item; this page will not invent a city perk for it. Premium at 399 Robux and El Gato at 549 Robux are unpublished — no perks, no fake abilities, no “mafia extra.”

If you do not own Boss Mafia Cat, the feral base is still worth learning as geography. A team that meets there after staggered escapes can plan a cage return. A team that never meets there becomes six solo cats getting tased in six alleys.

Wanted points, player-reported

Players report that wanted points exist. This wiki treats that as player-reported, not as a fully documented HUD spec. If your session shows a wanted value, it is probably tracking heat from city chaos, fights, or repeat recapture bait. Play as if louder crimes make you more interesting to caretakers. Do not dump a spreadsheet of unofficial thresholds into your plan.

Until the studio publishes a wanted table, use common sense. Standing still with a Golden AK in the middle of the street is how you test whether wanted is real. Smarter ferals do the crime, leave the tile, and let the number — if it exists — cool off while they rotate to cages or cover.

Helping cats still in cages

Escaped cats can help still-caged cats. That is one of the five breakout methods, and it is the one that makes the city matter to the shelter. A feral who never goes back is playing half of The CAT. A feral who immediately suicides into the front door is playing none of the city.

Group rescue works when someone outside creates space and someone inside is ready to move. You are the outside. Draw caretakers away from the cage wall, crack what you can, and do not park your morph on the lock while three tasers converge. If the shelter safety zone is still blocked to cats, do not try to use it as a staging room. That tile is not yours.

If your lobby has no caged cats, do not invent a raid. Play the city. If your lobby is a cage farm, the street is a staging map. The escape checklist is useful before you queue a rescue return so you do not forget that sewers may still be camped on the way back in.

A feral loop you can repeat

Leave with a planned method, not a panic. Get off the exit tile. Find cover. Note whether vets rotated outside. Check for a feral base meetup. Decide: hide, fight with a documented pass, or return for cages. If you get recaptured, you are back in the shelter syllabus — pickpocket, toilet, tunnel — and the city will still be there after the next leave.

That loop is why The CAT is not Catch the Cat, not the Alpha horror game, and not a clone shelter that ends at the fence. Official store pages promise becoming a feral stray and causing chaos across the city. Play the promise. The shelter taught you how to leave. The city asks whether you had a reason to.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for The CAT on Roblox.

Does escaping The CAT end the round?

No. You become a feral cat in the city and can still be hunted. Read this page after how to escape, not instead of it.

Where do I get the Golden AK?

Boss Mafia Cat at 299 Robux grants a Golden AK at the feral base plus +60 HP. See gamepasses for the rest of the store. Unpublished passes have no listed perks.

What are wanted points?

Players report a wanted value in the city. Treat it as player-reported. Play as if loud crimes draw caretakers, and do not rely on unofficial number tables.

Can I still help caged cats after I escape?

Yes. Escaped cats can help cats still in cages. That is a group-rescue loop, not a solo selfie. Role context is on the cat role page.

Should I buy a city pass before my first escape?

No. Learn a leave method first. Boss Mafia Cat only pays off at the feral base after you are outside.

Do lives matter in the city?

One video mentions lives. That is unverified here. Trust a counter on your HUD if you see one; do not rebuild your feral loop around a stat we cannot confirm.
