The CAT Pre-Run Escape Checklist

Nine steps from the right Roblox place to a clean feral exit — read it, then spawn.

Escape Checklist

Use this sheet before you spawn as a cat. It is not a lore page and it is not a substitute for the how-to-escape guide. It is the order of operations that keeps a 26-player round from turning into a jail montage. Route letters that sit behind these steps are on the escape-route ranking. If this is your first hour in The Cat Shelter, skim Getting Started once, then come back and tick the numbers.

Read the whole list. Then play one round without adding extra goals. If you finish the nine steps, you can freestyle. If you skip step 6 and die in a doorway, that is the list working.

1. Join the right place

The experience is The Cat Shelter by Ikigai Cybercore Studios, place 76526090659517, universe 10094225577. Other Roblox games use cat and shelter in the title. If the server size is not 26 and the description does not mention escaping, teasing caretakers, and going feral in the city, you are in the wrong place.

Favorite the correct page so the next session does not start in a clone.

2. Pick the role you actually wanted

Both sides are free. Cats leave. Caretakers recapture. If the cat team is full, wait, swap, or use Bypass Team Limit (79 R$). Do not “main cat” on the security side and then follow this checklist; you will tase yourself in the foot.

If you queued with friends, confirm who is inside as feral already. A teammate in the city is step 9 waiting to happen.

3. Learn one toilet — not five

The S-rank exit is bathroom into sewers. Walk until you can point at one toilet with your camera and say you could break it. That is enough for this round. Mapping every stall is a later project.

If a caretaker is standing in that stall, the toilet is not yours right now. Switch to step 4 instead of arguing with a shotgun.

4. Learn one keycard angle

Pickpocket is the A-rank controlled exit. Choose one steal spot: a corner, a busy keyboard, a vet who is staring the other way. You do not need a highlight reel. You need one successful card.

If the first steal misses, stop. A second attempt on the same caretaker is how this checklist ends in jail. Find a different body or go back to the toilet.

5. Watch the sewer camp before you commit

The easiest exit is the most camped. Listen at the pipe. If you hear sprint and taser, the S route is a trap this minute. Rotate. A live sewer is why the ranking is “easiest” and not “safest.”

Caretakers who read this list sit in that pipe on purpose. Cats who read this list do not donate a morph to them.

6. Shift-sprint like the other team does

Caretakers close distance with Shift. You need the same habit on the way out: break, land, sprint. Walking the sewer like a tourist is a recapture. Sprint is not a tour of the map. It is a burst through the dangerous ten meters.

If you do not know which key sprints on your device, fix that in Getting Started before you blame the route.

7. Do not hold the card in the open

A keycard in the open is a ping. Hide it. Move to the door you already chose in step 4. No lobby flex, no emote, no “look what I stole” in chat. The A-rank route becomes a C-rank clown show the moment the whole security team knows who has clearance.

If you get tased while showing the card, you handed them the steal and the arrest.

8. After you escape, do not stand in the doorway

Leaving is not the screenshot. The doorway is a recapture machine. Step out, keep moving, become a feral in the city. Standing on the threshold is the most common way a good run dies.

If you want a clip, record it and watch later. The caretaker with a shotgun will not wait for your pose.

9. Help caged teammates

You are not done because you are outside. Rescued cats become accomplices. A group exit is an A-rank route on the escape-route list. Draw a guard, crack a cage, leave together.

Do not dive a cage that three rifles are already staring at. Create a toilet distraction first, then help. A dead feral on the bars helps nobody.

Optional extras after the nine

  • Tunnels are B. Add them once steps 3 and 4 work without thinking.
  • Angel cat is C. Take it if it rolls. Never stall the checklist waiting for it.
  • Stolen guns are for a window, not a lobby spray.
  • Codes are not a step. As of September 2026 there are none.

How to fail this list on purpose

Skipping 1 puts you in a different game. Skipping 2 puts you on the wrong side. Skipping 3 and 4 leaves you with hope instead of a route. Skipping 5 feeds the camp. Skipping 6 loses the pipe. Skipping 7 donates the card. Skipping 8 donates the exit. Skipping 9 wastes the city.

Run the numbers in order. Then open how to escape for the why behind each step, and Getting Started if the first spawn still feels like noise.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for The CAT on Roblox.

Do I need to finish every step every round?

You need a toilet or a card, plus the discipline in steps 5 to 8. Rescue is the multiplier when teammates are caged.

What if the sewer is camped?

Skip the toilet for that minute and use the keycard angle. S is easiest, not always open. See the escape-route ranking.

Why can't I hold the keycard out?

Because the whole security team will hunt you. The steal is A-rank only if you hide the card and walk a door.

I escaped. Why did I get arrested at the door?

You stood in the doorway. Step 8 exists because that recapture is free for caretakers. Move into the city.

Should I wait for Angel cat before using this list?

No. Angel is RNG. Use toilet and keycard. If Angel appears, take it and still do not AFK in the door.

Where is the long version of these steps?

The how-to-escape guide explains the routes. Getting Started covers the first spawn.
