The CAT is easy to misspell and easy to clone. The Roblox store listing is The Cat Shelter by Ikigai Cybercore Studios. This wiki’s short title is The CAT. If you search either name you will also hit a horror alpha, a catch-the-mascot game, and smaller shelters that reuse the icon language. Bookmark the two official URLs below and join from them. Do not join from a sponsored result that only says cat in the title.

This is a fan wiki. It is not the studio. We cannot grant passes, reset jails, or issue codes (there are still no official promo codes as of September 2026).

Official Roblox destinations

• The Cat Shelter on Roblox — place ID 76526090659517, universe ID 10094225577. Free to play. Online multiplayer, 26 players per server. Released 28 April 2026. Peak concurrent players 29,998 on 13 June 2026. Visits around 56 million. Last store [UPD] around 8 September 2026.
• Ikigai Cybercore Studios group — community ID 980379194. Group shouts are the closest thing to a public studio channel this wiki can actually link. Join the group if you want store-adjacent news; do not expect a written changelog. We still track dates on the updates hub and the patch notes page because shouts are easy to miss and easy to impersonate.

Discord and Trello — what we will not invent

Creator Exchange lists a Discord under the name The Cat Shelter Community. That is enough to say a server exists. It is not enough to publish an invite. Invites expire, get hijacked, and get cloned into stealers that look like a cat icon. This wiki has no public Discord invite URL and will not paste a guessed discord.gg slug.

There is no public Trello. Roadmap screenshots that show breeding, seasons, or a codes board are not studio documents we can verify. If a video says the Trello dropped today’s codes, it is already wrong on two counts: there is no Trello, and there are no codes. See the codes hub and How to Redeem.

When a stable, studio-controlled invite becomes public on the Roblox group or the store description, it will be added here as a named markdown link. Until then, anyone in chat offering the real Discord is offering an unofficial room.

Mixing those IDs is how you end up redeeming someone else’s coupon in a game with no redeem UI, or installing a script recorded on a clone. Universe 10094225577 and group 980379194 are the other two numbers to memorize if you already know the place ID.

The Cat [Alpha] is the most common mix-up in search because both titles start with The Cat. That alpha is a horror product about fleeing a killer. The CAT is a 26-player roleplay where you are the cat or the caretaker. If the thumbnail is a dark hallway and a jumpscare, you are in the wrong tab.

What the official store page actually promises

The live description (paraphrased, without stuffing emoji into this wiki) is the loop we document everywhere else: be a cat and tease caretakers, or be a caretaker and annoy cats; escape the shelter; dig tunnels and find secrets; steal weapons and keycards; rescue other cats; fight caretakers and security; become a feral stray outside; cause chaos in the city. That is the design. It is not a pet simulator, not a breeder, and not a code-drop game.

Paid extras live on the Roblox store attached to that same place. Rainbow Leash 25 R$, Bypass Team Limit 79, HMG 149, AWM Sniper 149, Elite SWAT 249, CAT HAT Bundle 259, Boss Mafia Cat 299 (Golden AK at the feral base, +60 HP), Elite Cat Surgeon 299 (tranquilizer, +150 HP), Private Jail Cell 399, Premium 399 (perks unpublished), Director 549 (grant weapons to vets), El Gato 549 (perks unpublished). Buy them only through the official pass prompt in that place. Third-party checkout links in Discord DMs are scams. Feature context sits on gamepasses and weapons.

How to sanity-check a link someone sent you

1. Host is roblox.com (or the Roblox app’s own share sheet), not a lookalike domain.
2. Place ID is 76526090659517 or the path contains The-Cat-Shelter and that ID.
3. Creator is Ikigai Cybercore Studios, group 980379194.
4. Server cap shows 26, not 8 (Alpha horror) and not a random 50-player hangout.
5. No Discord invite, no Trello, no free-Robux redeem form piggybacking on the link.

If a friend pastes a join-link from a clone, the HUD will still let you play — you will just be in the wrong loop. Leave. Use the The Cat Shelter on Roblox bookmark. That single habit is the entire point of this hub: one official place, one official group, zero invented invites, and a clear map of the names that are trying to sit in the same search box.
